Now that it’s official, I can share my news. I signed a contract for Eversworn this week. Yay!

It will be released digitally on June 26, 2012 and in print in April 2013.

Now, let’s get back to Vaughn, shall we?

Evermine’s First Review Is In!

I got an early Christmas present today–Evermine’s first review.

Sabine at Manic Readers gave it 4 stars. This is what she had to say:

This is a story of a deep love that could not be revealed and of a bond that did not break despite the distance or the circumstances. It is also the story of growth and how one demon finds his love and his sanity in the arms of his mate, and how one demoness finds serenity and forgiveness in the arms of her mate. Add to this the tale of a missing queen, court intrigue, glamour and magic being used and you have a great story of a love that withstands the test of time and everything else thrown at it.

I cannot wait to see how this series develops and I look forward to reading more about the Askari demons and their lives and loves! Fantastic series Ms. Edwards! Keep them coming!

She does recommend readers read the first book, Everlong, prior to Evermine, and I agree. Maddie and Emma are so close, their stories had to reflect that. You get much more out of Harper and Emma’s relationship if you understand Maddie and Harper, and Maddie and Emma’s relationship. 🙂

Stung by the Good News Bee

I am so excited to announce I signed a contract with Samhain Publishing this morning for Eversworn. It’s the third novel in my Daughters of Askara series, and this means a double dose of Askara in 2012!

This is Dillon and Isabeau’s story. If you’d like a sneak peek at the hero who made my editor swoon, check out my Six Sunday excerpts here.

For those keeping tabs, I’m about a quarter of the way finished with Vaughn and Mana’s story (A Feast of Souls, Araneae Nation, book two). Good lord willing and the creek don’t rise, it will round out 2012 for me with four releases, this one in winter.

Let’s cross those fingers, shall we? 😉

Here’s a snippet:

A contemporary romance trilogy or series. I love editing Shannon Stacey’s books and I want to edit more contemporary romance, so I’m looking to acquire an author who has a contemporary romance trilogy or series planned. Any heat level considered! I’m specifically looking for contemporary romance novels (over 70k) but will consider a novella series (for novellas, even better if they’re erotic, but not necessary)

A new paranormal romance (or urban fantasy w/romantic elements) series. The good news for you is that I’ll consider all manner of paranormal, including vampires, shifters, etc. I’m not wore out on paranormal, so hit me with your A-game, even if it’s a vampire series! Again, any heat level considered.

A very, very hot erotic romance series. Smokin’ hot. Any subgenre, any length. Can be BDSM or m/m. Just looking for smokin’ hot erotic romance (not erotica, please).

So the trend here is that I’m looking for an author/authors I can build within a series in these particular genres. I’m not looking for standalone novels or novellas for this particular submissions call for myself (though Carina Press is always willing to and does acquire standalones).
