Happy Sunday, all! This is a huge week for my family. My little girl turns eleven on Tuesday, and Friday is a trip to the GA Aquarium. Woo hoo! Love that place. Next Sunday is also a big day for us, but I’ll talk more about that next week. 😉
Across the room, the mattress squeaked as the mark shifted his weight. His bare chest presented itself to the ceiling as his tangled limbs twitched in peaceful sleep I would soon end.
The stink of cigarettes permeated the room and would linger on my clothing long after my work here was done. I probably burned more clothes in my fireplace than I kept in my closet. For that reason, I dressed casual for work most nights in worn jeans, scuffed sneakers, and a t-shirt.
My brother disapproved, which was nothing new.
