Today should have been my dad’s fifty-sixth birthday. Instead cancer took him from us on December 2, 2012. There were few things Dad loved more than reading, so in honor of his birthday I would like to give five people the chance to read five of his favorite books.
Here’s how it works. There will be FIVE winners. Each winner will pick ONE title from the list. I will then gift them that book’s digital edition via Kindle or Nook Gifting. Easy, right?
I hope you’ll enter. I would love all the help I can get celebrating not only the love of books, but the man who instilled that love in me.
The digital edition of Soul Weaver is now available for $2.99!
Since the accident that nearly took her life, Chloe suffers from acute agoraphobia. Living alone above her family’s bookstore, she spends restless nights terrified by strange visions . . . until a mysterious stranger appears and offers her salvation. Chloe is drawn to the ethereal, gorgeous Nathaniel-but her haunted soul warns her there is more to him than meets the eye.
An archangel who roams Earth collecting souls of the newly departed, Nathanial is the sole witness to the accident that should have taken Chloe’s life. Seduced by the purity of her soul, he defies Providence by saving her life. But his attempt at kindness marks Chloe for damnation, and makes her an unwitting pawn in a game of unholy ambition. Now together they must fight the demons of Hell itself-for a love that defies the boundaries of Heaven and Earth.

For a while A Hint of Frost was only free on Amazon.com (and B&N and Samhain direct), but now it’s available as a free download from Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, and Amazon.ca.
Thanks to everyone who has downloaded Frost to try! A few days ago it went as low as #8 on Amazon.com. It’s sitting around 1,400 on B&N. Very cool. I’ve never had a freebie, so it’s been a blast to watch the rankings drop.
I hope this exposes my Araneae series to more readers who will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it. 😀
I got an interesting tweet this morning from a blogger that had me on her freebie list. I checked it out, and sure enough A Hint of Frost is free across all venues.
This is what reviewers are saying about A Hint of Frost…
“The author weaves an action-packed story of intrigue and betrayal. The dialogue is strong, the storyline compelling and the prose artful. The fantasy world setting is vaguely familiar in a brutal, medieval sort of way — but still satisfyingly foreign — and the concept, along with the culture, is handled with elegance…”
– RT Book Reviews, 4 ½ stars
“Are you a Game of Thrones addict? Have you started referring to your girlfriends as “wenches” and the husband as “my lord,” really pushing for that “your grace” title you so desperately want? Well, Hailey Edwards’s Hint of Frost might just be the book you’ve been looking for.”

Hope dangles by a silken thread.
Araneae Nation, Book 1
When the head of the Araneidae clan is found poisoned in her nest, her eldest daughter, Lourdes, becomes their clan’s new maven. If her clan is to survive, she has but one choice: she must marry before her nest is seized. All she needs is a warrior fierce enough to protect her city and safeguard her clansmen. Such a male is Rhys the Cold.
Born the youngest son of an impoverished maven, the only things Rhys has to his name are his sword and his mercenary reputation. His clan is starving, but their fondness for the flesh of fellow Araneaeans makes them unwelcome dinner guests. Torn between loyalty to his clan and fascination with his future bride, Rhys’s first taste of Lourdes threatens to melt the cold encasing his heart.
Amid the chaos of battle, Lourdes’s sister disappears and is feared captured. Lourdes and Rhys pursue their enemies into the southlands, where they discover an odd plague ravaging southern clans as it travels north, to Erania. Determined to survive, Lourdes will discover whether she’s worth her silk or if she’s spun the thread by which her clan will hang.
Warning: This book contains one mercenary hero with a biting fetish, one determined heroine who gets nibbled, and an answer to the age-old question, “What does dragon taste like?” Matricide and sibling rivalry are available upon request. The house special is revenge, best served cold.
