I blogged today about Dorchester’s announcement, but it was more just random thoughts about the publishing industry and the direction we’re all headed in.

It’s been a while since I checked in on Vic’s cover art. I’ve been meaning to since she got her big promotion to…*cue dramatic music* Art Director for Breathless Press. Now that I’ve checked out her latest projects, I’ve picked my new top three favorites. What do you think?
I remember when she worked on this one. It’s my fave so far.
I liked this one, too.
I don’t know what draws me in about this last one. The color? You know how I love my golds and fall tones. Or maybe the attention to detail? The tiny cross stitch running up the left side? Either way, I like it.
Vic’s promotion just proves what I have suspected all along. She’s out to take over the world and making good time while she does it.
I promised pics of this a few days ago. I’m actually taking pictures now to send to Leiha and get approval for everything. The bulk of the books, and the book basket, are not here. So I’ll have to take pics of those once I pick them up this afternoon.
(I’m working with someone on how to ship the books in the basket, in a nice arrangement, in case I can’t make the drive.)
I do have a pic of goodies that are still in my office. These are mostly author signed books and the like, and all donated by Divas. The t-shirts, canvas bags, water bottles, and luggage tags are all from Samhain.
I’m sure it’s much the same for everything this time of year. I spent the entire last week shopping like a madwoman for clothes and school supplies. We had the tax free holiday, so I tried to make use of that.
I figured this year would be slim because of the economy, I just didn’t realize certain objects would vanish–like wide rule paper. We hit five stores before we found any.
Otherwise, the back to school thing is all good. DD gets to have her playtime with friends and, you know, that education thing. 😉
While I get to have writing time. Ah, yes, I remember writing time. There was a lot more of it before school let out in May.
It was nice having the girl around the house, but it will be equally nice to have her out of it.
It’s Wednesday again, and I’m blogging at Paranormal Pretties. Today’s topic is when/if to use ideas other authors suggest while brainstorming. A year ago, I would have said, “No thanks.” These days, I say, “Hold that thought. Let me grab a pen and paper.”
Check out my reasons here.
