Several months ago I was searching the internet for witchy PNR books when I hit on Molly Harper’s Better Homes and Hauntings. The title alone made me chuckle, so I checked out her backlist and realized she was also the author who wrote the Naked Werewolf series one of my friends had been raving about for weeks. I burned through those (and most of the Jane Jameson series) and now I’m on to the Half Moon Hollow spinoff series.
My buddy Sasha told me about another series to check out last night. It’s Monster Haven from R. L. Naquin. The first books is Monster in my Closet. It looks like fun, and I love the premise.
Hailey writes about questionable applications of otherwise perfectly good magic, the transformative power of love, the family you choose for yourself, and blowing stuff up. Not necessarily all at once. That could get messy.
