I have been so humbled by the reception this novel has received. I thought it was a longshot that it would get published, so to have it do so well is amazing. I have to thank all the readers and reviewers who made this nomination–and all my other accomplishments–possible.
I also have to thank Sasha Knight, who is the most fantastic editor, ever. I don’t know where I would be without her, but it wouldn’t where I am. So much love to her for keeping me on the straight and narrow and always expecting my best work, which makes me strive to always give it to her.
Hailey writes about questionable applications of otherwise perfectly good magic, the transformative power of love, the family you choose for yourself, and blowing stuff up. Not necessarily all at once. That could get messy.
