We’re all hyperaware of today’s date, but there’s nothing I can say that hasn’t been said better. I’ll be hugging my loved ones a little tighter today in remembrance. I’m sure they’ll understand if I’m reluctant to let them go out into a world that’s so hard to understand sometimes.
Her fingertips trailed the hottest part of his cheek. “You are such a contradiction.”
He cleared his throat. “I’ve been called worse.”
“With your temper and your mouth, I can imagine.” Her thumb swiped over his bottom lip.
