One of my friends, Jennifer, sent me the most thoughtful gift for my birthday. I opened it today, and I cried.
Her gift, the necklace pictured below, represents everything I have struggled to accomplish this past year. The fact that it’s a charm necklace is perfect. It gives me hope there will be more tags added and more goals met. While reminding me of what I’ve done, it offers silent assurance I can do it again. Its weight around my neck is a comfort. It’s a symbol of my potential, and with friends like Jennifer, how can I not meet and exceed even my own high expectations?

I’ll have to double check with Jenn, but I think this necklace came from J. Lynn Creations.
As an Etsy addict, I’m embarrassed that store was only two clicks away.
I’ve been coveting her jewelry for a while now.
Hailey writes about questionable applications of otherwise perfectly good magic, the transformative power of love, the family you choose for yourself, and blowing stuff up. Not necessarily all at once. That could get messy.
