It’s been a big week for me. First time in print, first time signing a book, first time seeing my family really “get it.” Dad asked me to drive him to Michael’s tomorrow. He wants a shadowbox for his copy of Everlong. How cool is that?
Lots of little things happening, but I’m so hopeful I can nail Evermine. It’s a different book, for sure. There’s an underlying fear on every page, for me, that Harper or Emma will say “goodbye” this time and mean it.
“I found your candles and matches.” He came out wearing a lopsided grin…and no glamour. I licked my lips, swore I already tasted him there. “I thought we could watch a movie.” He shrugged dark muscles, adjusted his wings. “I’m sure we can find something to do after.”
I’m sure he thought so.
